Father’s Day Golf Tournament

Take part in a tournament for golfers seven years and up from 8 a.m. until noon at Burke Lake Golf Course. Teams of two compete in an 18-hole scramble format in three divisions: Father and Jr. aged 7 to 12; Father and Jr. aged 13 to 17; and Father with adult partner. There will be closest to the pin contests and prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in all divisions. The tournament is limited to first 48 teams. Registration begins two weeks prior to event. Tee time is at 9 a.m. at Greendale Golf Course. Teams of two (father/grandfather & son/daughter) pick the better of each shot and both hit from that spot until the hole is completed. One person of the team must have a current VSGA handicap or other valid USGA handicap. Prizes awarded for flight winners. Fees are $10 plus greens fee and cart. Registration is required by June 15th. Sully Historic Site’s Annual Antique Car Show co-sponsored by The Model A Ford Club of America showcases more than 400 antique and classic cars from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Treat Dad to a delicious lunch and get your toes tapping to the music of Jumpin’ Jupiter and the Fairfax Symphony Dixieland Band. Visit the children’s tent for games, activities and music featuring students from Bach to Rock, America’s Music School. A historic house tour is included.
